Mt Fort to Tortin via
Col des Gentianes

Unlike most pistes, Mont-Fort isn't mechanically groomed, being far too steep and inconsistent for a Ratrak to operate either safely or effectively. (Mountain safety teams do, however, secure the area after a snowfall.)

Any form of piste preparation is the result of skiers and snowboarders picking their way down amid constantly shifting moguls. Often smooth in the morning, the descent can get ferocious as the day wears on, requiring pretty high levels of fitness combined with a keen sense of anticipation.
